- 01
INTRODUCTION
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
It sets out the steps taken by VheaRts to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our operations or supply chains.
- 02
ABOUT VHEARTS
VheaRts is a virtual reality platform for enhanced medical education and procedural planning, without borders.
We work with NHS trusts, hospitals, academic institutions and healthcare organisations worldwide to improve cardiac education and surgical planning through immersive technology.
- 03
STRUCTURE AND SUPPLY CHAIN
VheaRts is a technology platform operating in the healthcare and medical education sector. Our supply chains are limited in scope and primarily consist of:
-
Software development tools and platforms
-
Virtual reality hardware and equipment suppliers
-
Clinical and healthcare research partnerships
-
Conference and events services
Given the nature of our operations, our supply chains are relatively straightforward and low risk in terms of modern slavery exposure.
- 04
OUR POLICIES
VheaRts is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We maintain the following principles:
-
Zero tolerance of modern slavery and human trafficking in any form
-
Commitment to the fair treatment and lawful engagement of all personnel
-
Ethical sourcing from suppliers who share our commitment to responsible business practices
-
Transparency throughout our operations and supply chains
We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
- 05
DUE DILIGENCE
We take the following steps to identify and address the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains:
-
Working only with reputable suppliers and partners who demonstrate ethical business practices
-
Ensuring all personnel working with VheaRts are engaged under lawful terms
-
Encouraging transparency and open communication throughout our supply chain
-
Reviewing supplier relationships on an ongoing basis
- 06
RISK ASSESSMENT
We consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low for the following reasons:
-
Our workforce consists of qualified clinical and technical specialists engaged under UK employment law
-
Our supply chains primarily consist of established technology platforms and hardware suppliers operating under robust regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU and United States.
-
Our operations are focused on healthcare and medical education — sectors subject to robust regulatory oversight
- 07
AWARENESS
VheaRts is committed to ensuring that all personnel involved in our operations are aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking. We promote a culture of openness where concerns can be raised without fear of reprisal.
- 08
OUR COMMITMENT
We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery.
This statement will be reviewed annually and updated to reflect any changes in our operations or supply chains.
