VheaRts is a virtual reality platform for cardiac medical education and procedural planning, developed by researchers at University College London (UCL) and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). WHAT WE COLLECT
When you complete the workshop registration form we collect the following personal data:
• First name and last name
• Email address
• Institution or affiliated hospital
• Professional role
• Date and time of submission
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information or financial data.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your personal data solely to send you invitations to VheaRts workshops and educational events,
and to send you updates about our research and developments.
We will never sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for any commercial or marketing
purpose.

LEGAL BASIS AND CONSENT
We collect and process your personal data on the basis of your freely given consent, which you provided
by ticking the consent checkbox on the registration form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by
emailing info@vhearts.org or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any communication we send you.

Regardless of where you are based in the world, you have the right to:

• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Request a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights please contact us at info@vhearts.org. We will respond within 30 days. UK and EU users may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal data, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise your CCPA rights please contact us at info@vhearts.org with the subject line "CCPA Request" and we will respond within 45 days as required by law.

DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
This website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to host our services and collect workshop registrations.
Your data may be stored through Wix.com's data storage, databases and applications. Wix stores data on secure servers behind a firewall.

We retain your data for as long as you remain part of the VheaRts community or until you request deletion, after which it is removed within 30 days.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
VheaRts is based in the United Kingdom. If you are based outside the UK your data may be transferred to and stored in the UK in compliance with applicable data protection law and with appropriate safeguards in place. This website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. As part of this hosting arrangement, your data may also be stored on servers located in the United States. Wix.com participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and maintains appropriate safeguards to ensure that any international transfer of personal data meets the requirements of applicable data protection law.
